The Patrol Leader’s Duties

Patrol Leaders are expected to do the following:

  • plan and lead patrol meetings and activities,
  • keep patrol members informed,
  • assign each patrol member a specific duty,
  • assist patrol members in improving their scout skills,
  • represent the patrol at all Patrol Leaders’ Council meetings and at the annual planning conference,
  • prepare the patrol to participate in all troop activities,
  • coordinate with other troop leaders,
  • set a good example,
  • wear the Scout uniform correctly,
  • live by the Scout Oath and Law, and
  • show and develop patrol spirit.
